          Degol Hailu is an economist with a PhD from SOAS, University of London. His research and publications focused on macroeconomics, industrialisation, natural resource management and poverty reduction. Degol’s career spanned over three decades, from his academic positions to serving as Senior Advisor at the United Nations Development Programme.

          Currently, he is writing and consulting independently.
